Role Overview

As a Facilities Manager (Hard Services) at Sentinel Property Group, you’ll play a crucial role in overseeing the technical and structural aspects of Casuarina Square, including preventive maintenance, repair, and compliance with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, hydraulic, and fire safety systems. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for maximising operational efficiency and increasing return on investment while prudently managing risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake regular inspections of the building and plant to determine the extent and priority of repair works
• Drive a safety culture and ensure all hard services are compliant with relevant WHS/OHS statutory requirements.
• Assist with tenancy delivery, including installation of new mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and HVAC services
• Manage small to mid-sized capital projects relating to Hard Services.
• Manage specialist contractors to ensure compliance with contract terms and relevant NT and National building standards/legislation
• Coordinate and participate in emergency, crisis and risk management processes
• Manage operational and non-recoverable expenditure budgets and assist with capital forecasting
• Ensure timely creation of purchase orders and the processing of invoices.
• Provide proactive leadership in delivering solutions for tenant issues relating to centre operations
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with tenants, shoppers, contractors and company representatives
• Participate in the Duty Manager shift roster during peak periods or when required

Experience & Key Capabilities

• Tertiary or trades qualified with at least 5 years relevant operational experience (preferred)
• Demonstrated understanding of Building Codes, Australian Standards, OHS/WHS and Legislation.
• Commercial acumen and financial management experience
• Strong communication skills at all levels with various stakeholders
• Problem-solving, interpretation and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
• Customer-focused and proactive approach with initiative
• Intermediate to advanced level in core Microsoft Office applications
