Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualising, planning and delivering new development and value-added projects. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure developments achieve their highest and best use. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the success of our developments.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the overall planning and delivery of developments, both new & value-add, within the SPG portfolio.
- Your role has particular emphasis on appointing and managing design teams during conceptual planning, detail design, construction documentation, construction supervision and final commissioning and certification.
- You will assist in the preparation of feasibility studies, both financial and practical, with particular emphasis on identifying, scoping, budgeting and programming the design, construction and statutory approval activities.
- Assist the Leasing Team in producing conceptual renders, plans, programmes and schedules for inclusion in lease proposals.
- Prepare final lessor scopes of work, plans and programmes for inclusion in Agreements for Lease.
- Assist the Development Director in all aspects of preparing and negotiating development applications.
- In conjunction with the Project Director, expand on the details of the preliminary Construction Programmes contained in the Development Brief.
- In conjunction with SPG’s Projects Director:
- Review “For Construction” documentation prior to tender.
- Compile tender packages.
- Tender with “For Construction” documentation.
- Assess tender submissions.
- Recommend successful tenderer.
- Coordinate and administer design issues with major tenants throughout the construction programme, particularly ensuring all notices are issued in accordance with Agreements for Lease.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in a design role i.e. architect, engineer or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in development and/or project management roles.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office platforms and project management software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management.
- You are a problem solver. You can define a problem, identify various options for addressing the problem, research and analyse those options, and recommend a preferred solution with associated budgets and programme.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
