Role Overview

As a Corporate Finance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping SPG’s financial insights and strategic decisions. You will have the unique opportunity to work closely with our Chief Operating Officer (COO), gaining hands-on exposure to high-level decision-making and strategy. This position supports our property fund and corporate portfolio, diving into financial analysis, and developing models that guide our growth and enhance business efficiency. Working closely with departments across the organisation, you’ll bring analytical rigor to our property fund performance, corporate portfolio, and business opportunities, ensuring we capitalise on every opportunity to add value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis & Property Fund Insights: Serve as the primary financial analyst for SPG’s property fund, examining data trends, performance metrics, and financial health to provide accurate, insightful reports.
  • Corporate Portfolio & Business Opportunity Assessment: Perform comprehensive financial analyses on SPG’s corporate portfolio, evaluating new business opportunities and exploring strategic initiatives that align with our company’s goals.
  • Financial Modeling & Business Process Improvement: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate business processes, operational costs, and project valuations. Financial modelling experience is highly desirable as it will support data-driven recommendations and strategic decisions.
  • Property Data & Economics Analysis: Utilise property data and economic indicators to provide strategic insights into SPG’s business growth areas, supporting our goal of maximising fund performance.
  • Department Billing & Efficiency Analysis: Collaborate with departments and our COO to analyse and optimise billing processes. Identify efficiencies for billing time to specific funds to ensure accurate financial tracking and allocation.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • CFA Qualification: Actively studying toward or completion of CFA designation is highly valued.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience interpreting complex financial data.
  • Financial Modeling Expertise: Proficiency in developing and applying financial models to assess various business scenarios.
  • Property Market Knowledge: Experience or keen interest in property data analysis, economics, and market trends.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in reporting.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with an ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
